GDRN & Magnús Jóhann in concert
Singer GDRN and keyboardist Magnús Jóhann have performed together extensively in recent years, both as a duo and with a band. The two will perform at Gljúfrasteinn on Sunday, August 24th, at 4 PM.

On Sunday, August 17 at 4 PM, soprano Kristín Einarsdóttir Mäntylä and pianist Eva Þyri Hilmarsdóttir will perform songs set to poems by Jónas Hallgrímsson and Heinrich Heine at Laxness Museum.

Halldór Laxness
Halldór Laxness was born in Reykjavík in 1902. His first novel was published in 1919, marking the beginning of a spectacular career as a novelist that would span decades. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1955.
A true man of the world, Halldór Laxness spent a great deal of time overseas but his home from 1945 was Gljúfrasteinn in Mosfellssveit.
